Three out of the 22 circuit court judges and magistrates suspended by the Judicial Council last Wednesday have been acquitted and discharged, TV3 has gathered.
The judges were discharged after challenging their appearance in the video shown them on Thursday, September 10.
One of them is said to have been mistaken for another circuit court judge while a crosscheck of another’s records revealed that he did not adjudicate a case the video connects him with.
The judges’ names were given as Frank Ashietey Addo, Kaakyire Ackah Owusu and Kofi Ahiabor.
They are demanding an apology from the Judicial Council and Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Meanwhile, the 12 high court judges are expected to respond to allegations of their involvement in the scandal on Monday.
They were given 48 hours to respond.
