Amanfrom robbery saga: Police arrest 37 including a female

The Ghana Police has rounded up thirty  seven (37) suspected criminals including a female  at a hideout believed to be used by armed robbers at engleshie amanfro in the Ga South municipality.

Several  offensive weapons were also retrieved in the six hour operation. About 150 police personnel took part in the six hour operation intended to flush out criminals within the amanfro area.

The team drawn from all the divisions in Accra, also retrieved four motorbikes, quantities of substances suspected to be indian hemp, offensive weapons,a  military uniform, laptops among others.

The accra regional police commnader, dcop christian Tetteh Yohuno, who led the operation, urged the public to support the police.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 25 years would be screened and those found culpable arraigned before court.

TV3′ s Peter Addator indicated that the event was part of efforts by the police to rid troubled Amanfrom of unscrupulous criminals.
