Members of the Krowor Municipal Assembly have endorsed Joshua Nii Bortey as the municipal chief executive of the Assembly.
Nii Bortey who on two occasions failed to secure two-thirds of the votes as required, managed to get a 100 per cent endorsement Wednesday as all the nine assembly members who took part in the confirmation election endorsed his nomination.
Of the 17 assembly members, only nine of them showed up for the election.
He was immediately sworn into office by the deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Elizabeth Sackey.
In the previous election, only five members of the assembly voted ‘yes’ while eight rejected his appointment with one rejected ballot.
Meanwhile, three other assembly members who on Tuesday allegedly vandalised billboards belonging to the Krowor Assembly have been arrested and expected to be processed before court today.
