President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to embark on a two-day tour of the newly created Western North Region.
The tour starts on Wednesday.
The Region is among six which were created by the president this year.
It received a massive 99.52 per cent endorsement in the referendum held on December 28, 2018.
Sefwi-Wiawso was named its capital on Friday, February 15 after a constitutional instrument (CI 117) gave it a legal backing three days earlier.
The tour is expected to outline the government’s plans for the region.
President Akufo-Addo will do so at a durbar of the chiefs and people of the region, which was carved out from the Western Region.
