
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has scheduled a three-day tour of the Eastern Region, his home region, 3news.com has gathered, from Thursday, November 22.
The president is expected to inspect some ongoing government projects while in the Region.
A statement issued by the Eastern Region branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and sighted by 3news.com said: “The visit to the region forms part of the President’s commitment to deepen grassroots participation in his government and to obtain first-hand information from the people.
“It will also afford the President an opportunity to account for his stewardship to the voters who gave him the mandate to govern the country.”
So far, President Akufo-Addo has toured some regions including Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Western, Volta and Central regions.
He addressed durbars of chiefs and their people, a gathering that will also be seen during his Eastern Region tour.
He commissioned some projects as well and that will also be part of the upcoming tour. He will commission the Akim Oda-Akwatia-Winneba Urban Water Supply System among others.
