Jordan Ayew met Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo in London and presented him with a signed Crystal Palace shirt.
Ayew’s gesture came hours after he scored a superb goal as Crystal Palace overcame Arsenal 3-0 on Monday night.
President Akufo-Addo was at Selhurst Park to witness the entertaining clash.
During their meeting, they discussed the 2022 FIFA World Cup slated for Qatar later this year.
Akufo-Addo assured Ayew of government’s full support for the Black Stars.
Ayew helped Ghana qualify for a fourth World Cup recently after beating sworn rivals Nigeria in the playoffs.
The Crystal Palace player was featured in the two-leg tie that ended 1-1, leading to Ghana qualifying on the away goals rule.
Ghana will face Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay in the group stage.
