Leader of the New Patriotic party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left Accra Thursday night for a three-nation visit to the Netherlands, USA and Canada.

The first trip – to Europe – will see Nana Addo attend NPP’s international conference, which will bring together all of NPP’s international branches to deliberate on the future of the party.

A statement issued by his press secretary, Eugene Arhin, on Thursday, October 15 said Nana Addo will travel to North America next.

“Whilst in the United States, from October 18 to October 25, Nana Akufo-Addo will address the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, October 20,” the statement said.

He will also visit with US government officials including US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, and US senators including Senator Jeff Flake, the Republican Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Sub-committee on Africa.

The presidential candidate will also attend NPP programmes in Washington, New York and Columbus, Ohio, where his wife, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, will be the Special Guest of Honour at an event organised by the NPP-USA Women’s Wing.

He will then move to Canada.

“In Canada, Nana Akufo-Addo will address a townhall meeting in Toronto as well as participate in programmes organised by the NPP branch during the period of his three-day visit.”

Nana Addo is expected back on Saturday, October 31.
