Akufo-Addo arrives in Togo for ECOWAS meeting

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has arrived in Lome, Togo, for the 53rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government at which a new ECOWAS chairperson will be elected. The President left Ghana Sunday together with Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, and officials of the Presidency and the Foreign Ministry. The two day meeting which started today will end on Tuesday, July 3. Nana Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on Tuesday, 31st July, 2018, and, in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, shall, in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution, act in his stead.
