President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed private legal practitioner Dr Alexander Y. Adusei Jr as Director for Keta Port.
Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiama who announced the appointment in a letter dated March 19, 2019 asked the Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority to “take the necessary action to give effect” to the appointment.
Government in April last year signed an agreement with Diamond Cement Ghana Limited to begin the construction of a port at Keta in the Volta Region.

It will also facilitate the importation of raw materials for Diamond Cement as well as reduce their cost of doing business.
