Afoko’s rasta off

Brother of New Patriotic Party’s National Chairman, Gregory Afoko, who is standing trial as one of the two prime suspects in the murder of Upper East Region chairman of the party, Adams Mahama, will have his bail application ruled upon on Tuesday, July 7.

Afoko, who has been known to wear dreadlocks, had a new look in court on Tuesday, June 23.

He has apparently shaved off the dreadlocks and spotted a fine haircut though still in handcuffs.

He has been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, abetment to comit crime and intentionally causing the death of Alhaji Adams Mahama.

Alhaji Mahama died of acid wounds after he came under vitriolage last month.

He is said to have mentioned Gregory Afoko and Asabke Alangbi as those who initiated the attacks on him while returning from a party meeting on Wednesday, May 20.

He was buried on Saturday, May 23 with an Adua held on Sunday, June 7.
