All 47 Constituency Women Organisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have unanimously thrown their support behind incumbent National Women’s Organiser Kate Gyamfua.
Regional Women’s Organiser Nana Ama Ampomah, who spoke on behalf of the women’s wing, said: “Kate is a performer and that is the kind of person the party needs to break the 8.”
The election is scheduled to be held over the next weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Ashanti Region will present about 800 delegates for Saturday’s National Delegates’ Conference.
