The Coach says the team is cash trapped leading to three months arrears in salary of players[/caption] Coach of Bolga All Stars, Baba Nuhu Mallam, has explained his team’s poor performance in the Ghana Premier League is due to poor preparations and financial difficulties which has lead to three months salary arrears of players. Bolga All stars has not seen a win in their last ten matches; recording four drawn games and five loses. The team, bankrolled by the chairman of Northern Regional Football Association Abdulai Alhassan, registered only 25 players with two goal keepers. Explaining the difficulties faced by the his team on Onua FM, he grieved that his side lacked quality to compete in the Ghana premier league, “The preparation wasn’t good and there is no quality. I didn’t start with them, I stepped in, at week six against Kotoko. For the first three to four matches, we were doing well but because we lack quality they could not continue with the good work they were doing. “Premier is premier and lower division is a lower division. Going into premier, we needed to have prepared well in pre season, but we couldn’t do that” he explained. Coach Nuhu Mallam told Onua of his team’s financial situation: “The team does not have money to employ an assistant coach; I am the head coach at the same time an assistant coach and sometimes even the psychologist.Considering we conceding five goals in a match, and there is another match, it’s difficult so I have to find a way to psych the players. “As we speak the team owes the players about three months, at least we expect something from the management. That will motivate them to be working but this is not happening so I’m finding things difficult as an individual,” he added. Notwithstanding, Coach NuhuMallam said he is hopeful his side can survive relegation and prepare appropriately for the Ghana premier league next season. By Samuel Amoesi|Onua FM|3news.com]]>
