2 Nigerians arrested for stealing GHC33,000 from businessman

Police in the Western Region have arrested two Nigerians who stole GHC 33,000 from a businessman in Takoradi.

The businessman had just cashed the money from the Prudential Bank branch in Takoradi on Wednesday when the two suspects, who were in a Nigerian registered vehicle, allegedly accosted him and stole it from his car.

Mr. Michael Agyekum quickly made a distress call to the Police and the information was relayed to the various check points in the region.

At the Inchaban Police Barrier, the vehicle matching the description given by the victim showed up and the officers arrested the two occupants whose names have been given as Abidoye Adekunlo, 47 years and Alhaji Sulimon Olaoluwa, 44.

“GHC33,000 was retrieved from them, suspects are currently in custody,” the Police told 3news.com
