For a decade, TV3 has churned out a number of child stars and talents through its reality competition, Talented Kidz.
Some of these kid stars have grown up to become household names in the country’s showbiz circles.
From Awal, who was the second runner-up in 2010, through to Tutulapato, Samuel Owusu and now the most sought-after child disc jockey (DJ) in Ghana and beyond, DJ Switch, the premier kids reality show in the country has many child entertainers to its credit.
This year’s edition, which marks the 10th anniversary of the show, promises to produce yet another talented bunch of child stars for the country.
Organizers of the show TV3 have officially raised the curtains for this year’s journey to finding a new star.
Speaking at the launch held at TV3‘s Studio B on Friday, January 18, General Manager of Shared Services and Operations Winfred Kingsley Afful said the 10th anniversary edition promises lots of surprises to entertain and thrill fans.
The audition train for this year’s competition begins in Takoradi from Friday, February 1-2 at Connect FM’s premises.
It continues with auditions in Kumasi on February 8-9 at TV3’s Asokwa premises and the train finally lands in Accra on February 15-16 at TV3’s Kanda premises.
After the auditions, selected finalists will be outdoored at the maiden live show on Sunday, March 3.
Winner of this year’s competition will walk home with a cash prize of GHȻ10,000, a GHȻ15,000 Educational Fund, a fun trip to Dubai and souvenirs from sponsors.
The first runner-up will also get GHȻ8,000 cash, an Educational Fund worth GHȻ10,000, a trip to Dubai and souvenirs from sponsors.
