A woman who shed a total of 17 kilogrammes of weight within 60 days has emerged winner of the season four of 3FM’s Fat2Fit 60 Day Challenge, which seeks to encourage healthy lifestyle through nutrition, physical activity and counseling.
Mrs Joana Quarshie received a free gym memberships at the Aviation Social Center, six months’ supply of clothes OJ Clothing, a 3-month beauty spa treatment at Ariel’s Haven, Sassy fruit juice and much more as her prize.
First and second runners-up, Mrs Anita Aryee and Mrs Angela Brakoh Ofori-Atta who lost 12.3kg and 10.4kg respectively also received similar package as their prizes.
The challenge, which started on June 17, 2017, saw more than 150 individuals from Accra, Takoradi and Kumasi participate in the challenge to lose weight and build a healthy lifestyle.
Over the 60-day period, the participants were weighed regularly to check their progress, had series of warm-ups and stretches during every session before a power-packed aerobic session led by Fat2Fit trainer, Beatrice Afful, popularly referred to as Bea De Bully. CEO and Founder of FAT2FIT Weight Management Company Limited, Mr. Akoto DerGross congratulated participants on their desire, determination and sacrifice throughout their weight loss journey.
He said the season four had been the best so far, and encouraged participants to continue the healthy lifestyle and most importantly, join the fifth session.Group Head of Entertainment, Lifestyle & Events at Media General, Mr. Ken Addo, applauded the participants for enrolling on the programme. He reiterated 3FM’s commitment to adding value to its listeners.
Commercial Manager for Center for Plant Medicine Research, Mr. Michael Bremfi, who joined this season’s challenge as a sponsor, expressed satisfaction with the programme and urged participants to continue to use CPMR’s flagship product Lipea Tea to relieve stress and fight insomnia.
The CEO of Acacia Health Insurance, main sponsors of the season four, was happy for being part of the programme and urged participants to make healthy lifestyle an everyday thing.
He said the objectives of the challenge in preventing cardiovascular diseases fall in line with Acacia’s objectives and will support future seasons.
Representatives from other sponsors of the programme including Aviation Social Center and Ariel’s Havens congratulate the participants on their feat.
