Three police officers have been arrested by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command’s anti robbery squad for allegedly hiring AK47 rifles to armed robbers for robbery.
The officers stationed at Weija and Kokrobite allegedly gave the guns to the robbers over the weekend for a robbery operation, a source at the Weija District Police Command told Onua FM.

Ironically, they were rescued by an ex-police officer who sent them to a nearby health facility for treatment.
According to an eyewitness, the ex-officer became suspicious of the victims whilst eavesdropping on their conversation about guns they left in the accident car.
The people were later confronted whilst on admission and mentioned the names of the three police officers, whom they claimed gave them guns for robbery.
Checks indicate that the three indeed signed for the three AK47 rifles, which have retrieved by the police.
