Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogboe is not planning on halting his ambition to become a world champion and has stated his desire to reach the very top after stopping Cezar Juarez in Round Five last Saturday for the vacant WBO Interim Super Bantamweight title. The young boxer has become a darling boy for Ghana boxing lovers who feel he is the closest thing to the legends the country has had in the past. Dogboe looked very ready for the bout and got off to a flyer as he floored Juarez with a sturdy left hook in the second round, and he repeated the same in the fifth that eventually knocked the Mexican off his perch. With the crowd cheering Dogboe on, he fast grew in confidence and composure to finish the job at hand and he expresses his gratitude to his fans while stating his ambition to become one of Ghana’s boxing legends. “The only thing to expect is greatness because that is the stage we’ve reached right now and that is the level we are at the moment. There is no going back, we just have to keep on going forward and I couldn’t have done this without the great team that are behind me. You know my father, my uncles, so it’s being great,” Dogboe told TV3 in an exclusive interview. “The nation of Ghana and the people, everyone that is supporting me, the prayers and in everything so the only way forward is just heading towards legendary status.” Dogboe’s record now stands at 12 knockouts in 18 bouts and no losses.
