Hearts of Oak were on Sunday crowned winners of the 60th independence anniversary trophy after a goalless draw with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko. The Phobians had won the first leg 3-1, on May Day. That match, played at the Accra Sports Stadium, saw Kwame Kizito, Thomas Abbey and Patrick Razak scoring for Hearts with Awal Mohammed scoring for the Porcupine Warriors. Kotoko’s frustrations at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium was worsened by the injury of key man Saddick Adams, who suffered concussion. He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he is responding to treatment. He is “in a very stable condition,” his club said on Sunday. Source: 3news.com|Ghana ]]>
