Aduana Stars won the Ghana Premier League last season[/caption] Aduana Stars have qualified to the group stage of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup after beating Fosa Juniors 7-3 on aggregate in the play-offs. The Ghana Premier League champions lost 2-1 to the Malagasy side on Wednesday after winning the first leg 6-1 a fortnight ago. The 7-3 aggregate win completes a first qualification to the group stage of a CAF competition for the Ogya boys. Nathaniel Asamoah scored Aduana’s only away goal against Fosa Juniors but it proved to be a consolation after the Malagasy side put two goals behind the Aduana goalkeeper Joseph Addo in the first half. Addo then stepped up to make a crucial penalty save that spared the blushes of Yusif Abubakar’s side. This will be the first objective the club has successfully achieved after aiming at the Money Zone in the competition. This comes  after dropping out of the Champions League at the expense of an aggregate loss to Algerian side ES Setif. Aduana can now walk away from the competition with at least $150,000 if they finish fourth or $239,000 if they place last in their group. They now become the first Ghanaian side to make the group stage of the Confederation Cup after Medeama made the mark in 2016, placing third behind TP Mazembe and MO Bejaia. Source: 3news.com|Ghana ]]>
