The League was originally scheduled to start on February 11 but was injuncted by Great Olympics FC. It was then shifted to this weekend, specifically on Saturday, following the dismissal of a suit by an Accra High Court. But before the 16 clubs lace up to showcase what they have been preparing towards in the past months, a notice is served them by the Premier League Board (PLB) over the indefinite postponement of the fixtures of Match Day 1. “Please be informed that Match Day One of the 2017/2018 GPL has been postponed to a new date to be announced later,” a statement issued by the Premier League Board on Wednesday said. Reports say Great Olympics are behind the latest development after securing another injunction. This is yet to be confirmed by the Accra-based cub, though. They have been contending their relegation from the 2016/2017 League and praying the civil courts to overturn a decision by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association to award 3 points to Bechem United. This season was supposed to have started in 2017. Source: 3news.com|Ghana ]]>
