With a focus on awarding the outstanding music and personalities, the 3Music Awards at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre would be an annual awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements in Hip life/Hip-hop, Highlife, Afrobeats, Reggae/Dancehall, Gospel, Best use of social media and the best talent fanship in Ghana.
What makes 3 Music Awards stand out is the fact that it has incorporated new categories that seek to award every single person on the value chain of music production, distribution and consumption.
For instance the topmost award, which is the Song of the Year, will not only go to the artiste/group whose voices are heard on the song but will also recognize the songwriter, producer, sound engineer and or mixer as well.
Fans have become an integral part of music distribution and consumption and the 3 Music Awards has designed the Fan Army category to award the most vibrate fan army.
