Multiple award-winning songstress Mzbel has thrown her weight behind fellow female artiste Ebony Reigns in the face of public criticism over the latter’s appearance on stage. The composer of new hit Maame Hw3 has come under criticism for her dressing on stage. While those against her think her grooming is not fit to represent the cause of women, those on her side say she is in a business which requires her to attract attention however that comes. Mzbel, who was also a subject of female artistes’ dressing some years ago, says the Di Me Dwa hitmaker should be allowed to be. In an interview with Media General’s Owusu Worae, Mzbel, born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, said “it does not make sense” to just criticise a celebrity for the way he or she looks on stage. According to her, that comes with the profession. On whether Ebony is trying to be like her, Mzbel said the dancehall artiste wants to be known for what and who she is and not by anybody.
