Mahama interprets Shatta Wale’s “Mahama Paper”

Mahama happyPresident John Mahama has sought to interpret one of the latest songs released by dancehall artiste Shatta Wale titled ‘Mahama Paper’ and described it as a “lovely song”.

According to the president he asked about the song ‘Mahama Paper’ and he was told that “Mahama Paper is our currency the cedi and that all of us spend it and that we must protect it…”

Speaking on a myriad of issues about the country and his government’s policies and decisions on Radio Savannah in Tamale in the Northern region, President Mahama said he enquired about the meaning of the song and that is the understanding he got.

The president granted the interview after his ‘Accounting to the People Tour’ of the Northern region which ended on Thursday.

Several Ghanaians have warmed up to President Mahama’s youthful acts & comments which have drawn him to the younger generation of the country.

On another interview the president said his favourite song was ‘Baafira’ by Stonebouye also another leading Dancehall artiste in Ghana who won the Black Entertainment Television (BET) award for Best International Act.

At another point in time President Mahama said that he had asked a highlife trailblazer in Ghana, Charles Kwadjo Fosu known in Showbiz as Daddy Lumba to give his song titled ‘Yen Tie Obia’ to him, a comment that generated quite a buzz in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
