The Artiste of the Year is the biggest award in the VGMAs and by definition the Artiste of the Year is the artiste “adjudged by the Academy, Board and the General Public as the Artiste(s) with the highest audience appeal and popularity”. The Artiste(s) must have released a hit single/album during the year under review. Ebony was a national sensation in the year under review and topped it all up with her debut album, the Bonified album making her a qualified candidate for the award. Not only did she win the ultimate award, her ‘Bonified’ album won Album of the Year and that of  her ‘Sponsor’ won  Afropop Song of the Year. Meanwhile, her manager, Bullet who wrote her ‘Maame Hwe’ song also won the Songwriter of the Year. By 3news.com|Ghana]]>
