'Good health is better than riches' – Bawumia says in thanksgiving

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed  gratitude to Ghanaians for the immense support lent him while he was away on medical leave. “I am so grateful for all Ghanaians from all walks of life, churches and mosques for the prayers that they offered on my behalf when I took my medical leave. I am so grateful for their prayers, and I am using this opportunity to thank everybody for their prayers.” The Vice President, who was speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony at the Abossey Okai Central Mosque, called on all to value the gift good health. “When God gives you good health, you really have to appreciate it and look after your health. Good health is better than riches, and we have to thank God for the good health that he gives us,” Dr. Bawumia said. Dr. Bawumia, who joined the  National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu, to pray, expressed his delight in returning to good health and stated his readiness to continue work. He was in the company of Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development, Alhaji Boniface Saddiq,  Minister for Information Mustapha Hamid, Chairman of the Hajj Board Sheikh I C Quaye and Member of Parliament for Offinso South Constituency Ben Abdallah. Dr. Bawumia further thanked government for its support during the period of his medical leave. ”I also want to thank the President and the Government for what they have done and continue to do for me. I wouldn’t want to forget my beautiful wife for being by my side throughout this last two weeks,” Dr. Bawumia said.
