BOST issue a case of ‘fraud, create, loot and share’ – Ex-NDC MP

Former Member of Parliament for Nanton Constituency Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala has lashed out at the Akufo-Addo-led government, saying it is already embroiled in “create, loot and share”. The term – create, loot and share – was used by a Supreme Court justice in the trial of businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome. Mr Murtala said the sale of 5 million litres of contaminated fuel by the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) and the subsequent engagement of two unlicensed company “is a clear case of fraud”. He was speaking on TV3’s New Day on Saturday during a discussion on the recent sale of the off-spec fuel by BOST. Mr Murtala said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government cannot equate the sale of the contaminated products with previous BOST management, saying only once – in 2013 – was there a case as such. He explained that even the 200,000 litres were disposed of through due process when it happened in 2013. The former Deputy Trades and Industry Minister questioned how the Ministry of Energy has become a spokesperson for TSL, which is the firm managing and operating BOST’s petroleum terminals. “TSL takes full responsibility.
