Professor Edmund Delle[/caption] The National Chairman of the Conventions Peoples Party (CPP), Professor Edmund Delle, says Ghanaians, especially the leaders, should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of development in the country. Professor Delle said Ghana although commemorated the 25th anniversary of the country’s return to democratic governance, it has nothing to show because the leaders have been selfish over the years. The CPP Chairman was commenting on the National Thanksgiving Church Service held at the Independence Square in Accra on Sunday to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Fourth Republic. “We haven’t done well as a nation. The forests in Ghana have not been utilized. I have travelled across the country and drinking water is where they wash their clothes”, he explained on 3FM’s Sunrise hosted by Winston Amoah on Monday. He noted “the conditions of our roads are not something we should be proud of and we should be ashamed of ourselves”. Professor Delle underscored that “our parochial interest should be buried because no individual person can build Ghana, so we should live in unity, we should burry our differences, tribalism and be united”. “It is this our partisan nature…we don’t think about Ghana first. We think ourselves first and few people are enjoying from the wealth of the country and it is sad”. The CPP Chairman further stated, “the people of Ghana should rise up and demand accountability from the political leaders”. By Kweku Antwi-Otoo|3FM|3news.com|Ghana]]>
