The New Patriotic party says the latest Afro Barometer report that suggested if elections were held in 2017, the NPP would have won is an attestation that government is on track. The report however said the party will not get the needed 50 plus one vote to win outright. The Centre for Democratic Governance (CDD), which issued the report, interviewed a nationally representative, random, stratified probability sample of 2,400 adult Ghanaians in September 2017. NDC National Organizer Kofi Adams has rubbished the research and said his party will prove the Afro barometer wrong. Speaking to 3FM, government spokesperson on governance and legal affairs, Herbert Krapa said the report depicts two clear pictures from Ghanaians. “It shows the NDC remains bad news for the people and the governance of the country, because the level of corruption that saw them into opposition remains fresh in the minds of Ghanaians”, he said. He added it also shows that Ghanaians have confidence in the government in spite of the fact that president Akufo-Addo has been in power for barely two years. He said “The Ghanaian people believe in the confidence that the Ghanaian economy is beginning to take and it coincides with a certain reflection of the good things that the government is doing and reflect largely what is happening in our country to mold some of the policies that have been deployed forcefully by the president,” By Obiri-Yeboah Maxwell/3FM/3news.com/Ghana]]>
