Policeman killed in Kwabenya jailbreak to be buried today

Chief Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi who was shot dead in the Kwabenya police station jailbreak incident would be buried on Saturday, March 3.

The main suspect, 28-year-old Kofi Seshie, who is alleged to have pulled the trigger that killed the police officer was later arrested at Kosoa in the Central region.

A statement signed by  the Director General of Police Public Affairs Directorate, ACP David Eklu, said the burial service for Chief Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi would take place at the Atomic Hospital park, near the Kwabenya police station in Accra.

This will be followed by a memorial and thanksgiving service on Sunday March 4, at the Apostolic Church, Pokuase Central.

Meanwhile, an Accra Circuit Court on Monday refused to grant bail to 10 accused persons in the Kwabenya Police Station attack.
