Onua is a subsidiary of MG Radio Limited , a Limited Liability Company established on September 7, 2015 to operate radio stations in Ghana. The company currently owns Four Radio stations, in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi producing content in English and Twi.

Prof. V. P. Y. Gadzekpo is a Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Cape Coast. He holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, where he also earned his Master of Science degree. He also holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Cape Coast, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
Professor Gadzekpo is a renowned academician and held several academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Chemistry, University of Cape Coast, Visiting Professor at the University of Tokyo, Japan, from 1998-2000, and Research Fellow at the University of Wales College of Cardiff, UK, from 1984-1985.
Professor Gadzekpo has published extensively in international journals and has held many academic positions including Editor of the Ghana Journal of Chemistry, Editor of Chemistry and Industry, and President of the Ghana Chemical Society.
Professor Gadzekpo has served on a number of committees and boards and is currently the Chairman of the Anlo Education Trust Fund.
Professor Gadzekpo is a fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Ms. Elaine Kwami, a private management consultant, is a multi-skilled professional with rich experience in the areas of journalism, public and community relations and human resource practice, spanning over 30 years. She started as a reporter and later women’s page editor of “Ghanaian Times” and was runner-up to the Journalist of the Year award.
She has worked with many organizations in both private and public sectors in Ghana, notable among them are the UAC of Ghana group (now Unilever) where she held the position as Public Relations and Human Resource Manager: Ashanti Goldfields as Public Relations Manager and Golden Star Resources Limited as Group Manager, Public Affairs.
She holds diplomas from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Ghana, the School of Journalism Hungary, and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She is an Executive member of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and chair of the Fundraising Committee for the past five years; member of the Council of Patrons, CSR Foundation, Ghana, Ghana Institute of Management, the Ghana Journalists’ Association and the Society of Human Resource Practitioners.
Gloria is a seasoned Human Relations professional. She is currently the Head, Risk Management Department of the Bank of Ghana. Prior to joining Bank of Ghana, she was the head of Human Capital management at United Bank for Africa (Ghana) Limited. She has worked with KPMG (with oversight for a cluster of countries spanning Ghana, Sierra Leone and The Gambia).
Gloria had also worked as Senior Consultant & Staff Administrator at Ernst & Young, Ghana and was in charge of staff administration and training. Gloria has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and a Master of Arts in International Affairs – both from The University of Ghana, Legon. She also possesses a Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
Dr.Anim-Wright is the acting president of AUCC. She has more than 25 years of combined experience in the areas of educational leadership, institutional advancement, Fundraising, strategic marketing and public relations. Dr.Anim-Wright earned her Ph.D. in Communication and Development from Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications: Radio/TV Production from Central State University, USA. She has served on many Boards and currently serves on the Board of the Ghana Institute of Languages.
Dolly is the Director of HR & Admin. She joined MG Radio with over 20 years’ work experience, 13 years of which was spent in Human Resource, building a wealth of experience in the area of HR and People Management.
Prior to joining MG Radio, Dolly worked with BEIGE Capital Savings & Loans from 2012. Dolly’s work has spanned various industries – shipping, manufacturing, banking and education working with several institutions. She was responsible for setting up the HR Departments of Astek Fruit Processing Company (1996), and Maersk Line in 2000 with the responsibility of setting up an all-round effective HR and Administration system for both companies. She later worked with Watanmal Ghana Ltd as Group HR/Admin Manager (2007) with oversight responsibilities for four companies (producers of Gino, Pomo and Jago range of products) and later with Vodafone as Head of Resourcing (2009).
She has also held private lecturing and consulting/lecturing capacities with GIMPA and WAIFEM (West African Institute for Financial & Economic Management – set up by the West African Central Banks and offering training across the sub-region) from 2008.
She holds an MBA from the University of Ghana (1994), BA Management Studies, a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast (1991) and is an IHRMP certified HR practitioner.
Ransford is the Marketing Director in charge of all marketing and related services of MG Radio. He is a highly trained, experienced, self-motivated and commercially minded Business Manager with over fifteen years of professional work experience. He has a proven business judgment, strong strategic capability, leadership and general management experience with the ability to develop a winning commercial team that delivers tangible results.
He managed key account portfolios working with Vodafone Ghana, Maersk Line Ghana, Accra Brewery Limited, and RJP Logistics Limited where he was the Head of Business Development.
Ransford Tetteh graduated with an International Executive MBA, from Paris Graduate School of Management in 2007. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Humphrey Hessel-Appiah is the Finance Director of MG Radio.
He is a result-driven finance executive and an experienced Chartered Accountant with over 20 years working experience cutting across industries such as manufacturing & distribution, auditing & consultancy, airline, petroleum and now the media industry.
From 1993 when he began working as an accounts officer at the West Africa Examinations Council, he has risen to management level in big multinational organisations as well as SMEs. Humphrey has also worked with Ernst & Young Ghana, Unilever Ghana Ltd, Nestle Central and West Africa Office , Starbow Airlines and Petroleum Warehouse and Supplies Ltd.
Prior to his current role as the Finance Director of MG Radio, he was the CFO of Petroleum Warehousing & Supplies Ltd, Cummins Ghana Ltd and Starbow Airlines.
Archibald is the Deputy Director of Finance. He has a wealth of professional experience over two decades spanning Accounts payable, Assets and Risk Management and Credit Control.
Before joining MG Radio, He was the Financial Controller for the Canadian High Commission from August 1999 to December 2015, prior to which he was the Assistant Accountant. He was also an Accountant with the Ghana Red Cross Society on secondment from the Controller and Accountant General Department from April 1995 to January 1998. During his tenure in office, he contributed to the current implementation of Procurement to Pay (P2P) system and also the successful migration of FINEX an accounting system to SAP in 1999.
He holds EMBA in Finance from the University Of Ghana Business School and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana (ICA).
Ackaah-Kwarteng heads Onua FM with over two decades experience in media and communications practice with several local and international entities.
Kojo’s experience cuts across the journalism,media,communications,advertising,business and marketing world.
After his initial training at GIJ, he cut his teeth in broadcast-journalism and broadcasting at GBC in the 90s and enjoyed the last bit of the shortwave era as Ghana transited to the Frequency Modulation (FM) era in the mid-90s. He has since pioneered the setting up of a couple of radio stations across the country.
Kojo has also been in academia teaching media and business courses. He has MBA from the University of Applied Management in Germany and he is currently a PhD candidate of the Cass European Institute of Management in Luxembourg.
MG Radio is located at the TV3 Premises in Adesa We, Kanda, adjacent to the FlagStaff House.
