Wanted Denkyira-Obuasi assemblyman hands himself to police

William Baah is the assemblyman of Denkyira-Obuasi[/caption] The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that the assemblyman who was declared wanted over murder of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama in Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region has handed himself to the Police. The assemblyman William Baah, who is believed to have incited some residents of the town to lynch the military officer, reported himself to the police this afternoon. The assemblyman was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West Constituency Samuel Nsowah-Djan. Police declared the assemblyman wanted after a District Security (DISEC) meeting over the unfortunate development which took place on Monday May 29, 2017. Police say the assemblyman, William Baah and two other women were suspected to be neck-deep in the gruesome murder and were on the run. William Baah fled the town since the incident on Monday, May 29. He was declared wanted Wednesday morning by the Upper Denkyira West District Security Council at a meeting on the security situation in the area following the murder incident. Eyewitness told Onua News that the assemblyman is currently in police custody while the rest who have been declared wanted are yet to submit themselves to the police.
