Thirty-eight years old man Andy Abraham has gone missing since Tuesday and the family is in desperate distress. The man, who works with AVIANS in Airport Accra, left home for work and never returned. In an interview on Onua FM’s morning show Yensempa, a brother of Andy’s said when the wife of the missing man called AVIANS, she was told by some of his colleagues that he has been picked up by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for taking pictures of government vehicles, which arrived at the Kotoka International Airport and sent to it to a radio station. According to the missing Andy’s colleague, it was the BNI at KIA who invited him. The brother indicated that the family has since been calling his phone, which keeps ringing but without an answer. Andy’s brother told host Bright Akwasi Asempa that they went to complain to the Airport Police but was told that a statement cannot be taken since the issue involves the BNI. As of Friday morning, members of the family from Sunyani have been sent to Accra to support the wife to follow up on their son. Speaking later in an interview on Onua FM, wife of the missing man confirmed that she last heard of her husband at 8.00am on Tuesday, when he went to drop the kids in school. He had told the wife that he would be going to town to attend to some business because it was his off day. But he later called her to tell her about the invitation to the office following some car issues on social media. She says all efforts to locate Andy have yielded no positive results since Tuesday. The family said their son’s wife was told by his colleagues that the BNI said they were going to release him same day. But till now nothing has been heard of him, the wife complained. Onua FM is informed that his children persistently quiz their mother about their father’s whereabouts. By Owoahene Omari Acheampong|3news.com|Ghana ]]>
