Mahama touts achievement in road sector as the best in Ghana’s history

President John Dramani Mahama says his investment and concomitant achievement in the road sector tops any other president’s in the history of Ghana. “My tenure in office has seen the most investment in road projects in the country’s history.” Addressing Parliament in his final state-of-the-nation speech on Thursday, January 5, President Mahama, who leaves office on Saturday, mentioned the Kwame Nkrumah three-tier interchange, the Kasoa overhead bridge and the numerous cocoa roads as some of the investment he made in the road sector. “We have also invested more resources in the Eastern Corridor Road,” he added. President Mahama said the investments “have opened up our country significantly”. ‘Johnny’ He expressed confidence that uncompleted projects in the sector will be completed by the incoming government to be led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. “We made investments in many infrastructure projects which will be completed by President Nana Akufo-Addo.” He narrated how he and the incoming president started in the Second Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
