The curfew hours have been reviewed from between 10:00pm and 5:00am – which has been in force for the past six months – to between 6:00pm and 6:00am. The decision was taken following Thursday night’s sporadic shooting that led to the death of three persons and the critical injury of seven. REGSEC has also placed a ban on riding motorbikes with pillion riders. “Anyone seen riding a motorbike with another rider at the back will be dealt with,” the Nanumba-North District Chief Executive, Abdulai Yakubu, warned. A ban has also been placed on drumming within the township. These directives, according to REGSEC, will assist in restoring calm in the area as part of interim measures. Meanwhile, a total of 30 security personnel made up of 20 police and 10 military officers have been dispatched to beef up security in the area. By Zubaida Ismail|3news.com|Ghana ]]>
