President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the recent spate of accidents and the ensuing deaths and injuries is cause for concern to him. That is why he wants Ambrose Dery, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah and Kwasi Amoako Atta to meet and immediately come out with the proposals. The president tweeted his worry on Tuesday.

Recent road carnages have involved an entertainment icon, Ebony Reigns, who died on the Accra-Sunyani highway. On Tuesday, eight people were feared to have lost their lives when a 207 bus somersaulted on the Accra-Nsawam highway. Three persons were also feared dead in Sefwi Afari after a taxi collided with a private car. The ministers’ proposal is expected to reduce the spate of accidents and “improve” road safety.
