Man who chopped off boy’s head arrested trying to find buyer

A 23-year-old man who put up for sale the decapitated head of a boy has been arrested at Sankro, a village near Dixcove in the Western Region.

Police say Alex Tetteh was arrested Tuesday at about 5:15pm by the people of the village when he was searching for a potential buyer for the head, which is believed to be that of a 12-year-old boy.

He was handed over to the Dixcove Police which also transferred him to the Agona Nkwanta Police, and currently in Police custody assisting in investigation.

The suspect told investigators he “cut the head of the boy at Bogoso” with two other suspects, the Police said.

Meanwhile, the head of the boy that was concealed in a black polythene bag, has been taken to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital for preservation.
