Well, according to Dr. Thomas Anabah, a medical director at the Ridge hospital in Accra, donating your blood helps in replenishing your system by producing new blood cells that boost your immune system.
Dr Anabah explained that those suffering from hemophilia, anemia, cancer as well as some accident victims and pregnant women among other patients, require blood to survive.
