Biggest weight loser to be crowned Saturday as 3FM Fat2Fit challenge ends

Season five of the 3FM Fat2Fit challenge will be climaxed this Saturday at the Aviation Social Center in Accra where the participant with the most weight loss in the 60-day challenge will be crowned the winner. In the last 60 days, participants who registered for the challenge were provided with weekly healthy meal plans, healthy cooking sessions and weekly weigh-ins and exercise sessions. They also engaged in mountain climbs, aerobics sessions, a 7km walk through Osu with Walkers Club Ghana which was capped with motivation talks. The activities and plans under the challenge have caused them to lose significant weight and seen remarkable improvement in their health and overall quality of life. At the beginning of the challenge, the weight of all the registered participants was recorded and constantly monitored over the 60-day period. The challenge also provided participants the opportunity to network. Losing weight improves one’s health, productivity, self-esteem and reduces the risk to obesity related diseases such as type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke and some forms of cancer. The final challenge to be graced by Deputy Minister of Health, Tina Mensah, will see the participants engage in aerobics and health screenings among other activities. Fat2Fit Ghana in partnership with 3FM 92.7, an Accra-based lifestyle radio station, launched the fifth edition of the Fat2Fit Challenge, a 60 days lifestyle programme designed to help Ghanaians lose weight through behavioural lifestyle changes on February 24, 2018. The programme provides a unique platform for registered participants to receive the necessary support and the needed regimen to lose weight the right way. The goal of the fitness challenge is to inculcate the habit of regular exercises and healthy eating amongst Ghanaians in other to avoid lifestyle diseases.
