Kevin-Prince Boateng has returned to the Bundesliga, signing a three-year contract with Eintracht Frankfurt after his shock exit from Las Palmas for personal reasons.
The 30-year-old terminated his three-year deal with Las Palmas in the Spanish La Liga, citing personal reasons, planning to continue his career where he can be close to his family.
Eintracht Frankfurt posted a picture of the Ghana international undergoing a medical on Friday morning with a three-year deal announced shortly after.
“I’ve missed Germany and the Bundesliga in particular,” said Boateng.
“That Frankfurt have enabled me to return home to my family means an awful lot. I’m looking forward to an exciting battle next season – the league is more evenly balanced than ever before.”
He scored 10 goals 5 assists in 29 La Liga appearances for Las Palmas last season.
His former clubs include Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, Genoa, AC Milan and Bundesliga sides Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke.
