He said when given the mandate, he will work tirelessly to make the party an election winning ‘machine’.
The National Organizer hopeful has been on a campaign tour dubbed “Operation keeping faith with the grassroots” in the Ashanti Region.
In an interview with 3news.com, he indicated he is creating awareness among the grassroots and party faithful on what he intends to do and how he will build on what the current and former National Organizers did to strengthen structures in NPP ahead of 2020 elections.
“I was in the Ashanti Region to meet and interact with delegates and more importantly to inform them of my decision to contest for the National Organizer Position of the ruling NPP and also let them know how I will build upon what the current and Former National Organizers did and to strengthen structures ahead of 2020 elections”, he said.
“Operation keeping faith with the grassroots campaign mood activated”, he added.
Mr. Awuku said it is part of his plan to resource and motivate party structures at all levels to ensure that the welfare and needs of party executives and members are prioritized at all times.
He also hinted that training and tailored capacity building for the various operational units of the party from resource mobilization to grassroots mobilization will be his priority.
He was excited to see party members take keen interest in the activities of the party.
“I was excited to see our party members determined to still work for our party and support our government through thick and thin”, he noted.
He assured party members of embarking on a massive recruitment drive for new members into the party.
