Ghana’s Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would be back from his sick leave soon for active business, his wife Samira has said.
There has been uneasy calm among a large session of Ghanaians when the presidency announced that Dr. Bawmia was taken ill last week.
Update on his health status has not been forthcoming, which perhaps might have increased the worry of many Ghanaians as to how the Vice President is responding to treatment.
But the wife, Samira Bawumia, who was with the vice president when he was flown to the United Kingdom for further medical care took to social media to acknowledge public concerns about the husband’s condition.
“He is doing very well and we thank Allah for his grace,” she said in a post shared on both twitter and facebook.
Mrs. Bawumia added, “He looks forward to returning to work soon”.
My husband @MBawumia and I, are grateful to all Ghanaians and well wishers from across the world for your prayers, support and best wishes. He is doing very well and we thank Allah for His grace. He looks forward to returning to work soon.
