The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery has announced that Friday, 15th June, 2018 is a public holiday.
A statement signed by the sector minister reminded the public to observe the day as a statutory public holiday.
This would enable Muslims across the country to mark the Eidul-Fitr, an important religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
“The general public is hereby informed that Friday, 15th June, 2018 which marks the celebration of EIDUL-FITR, is a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the minister said
