West Africa SHS were eliminated at the quarter-finals last year[/caption] West Africa Senior High School has been seeded again for this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz. The Adenta-based school, where the Free SHS Policy was launched by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last year, is one of only three Greater Accra Region schools seeded for this year’s contest. Five-time winners Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC) and 2017 losing finalists St Thomas Aquinas SHS are the other schools seeded in the Region. A total of 27 schools have been seeded for this year’s contest. Among the schools are last year’s winners Prempeh College and finalists Adisadel College. Only Tamale SHS was seeded in the Northern Region. Aburi Girls SHS, New Juaben SHS and Nifa SHS are the three seeded Eastern Region sides. Seven schools each were seeded in the Ashanti and Central regions. A regional contest has already taken place ahead of this year’s quiz scheduled to be held in June.
