File photo[/caption] Fire has destroyed parts of the Abuakwa-Dadease market in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti Region. About 70 structures were razed down Friday by the inferno destroying items worth thousands of Ghana cedis. It was a nightmare for some traders at the market as they watched the fire destroy their wares and sums of money. The fire is reported to have started around 11pm on Thursday from one of the shops stocked with firecrackers. Several properties were destroyed despite the intervention of personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service. It took the Fire Service about two hours to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading to other shops. Four fire tenders were deployed to douse the fire. Some affected traders claim they have lost all their lifetime investments to the fire. They have thus appealed to the government and stakeholders to come to their aid. Meanwhile, an investigation into the cause of the fire has commenced. By Ibrahim Abubakar|3news.com|Ghana]]>
