President Nana Akufo-Addo who announced this Wednesday at the opening of the first Aerospace and Aviation Exhibition of West Africa in Accra said the airline will begin operation soon. Information gathered by 3News suggests the footballer’s airline would begin with cargo flights and later diversify into passenger flights. “I’ve reliably been informed that the captain of our senior national team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan; Baby Jet, has obtained an air carrier licence and is working feverishly to establish an airline obviously called Baby Jet Airlines,” President Akufo-Addo said. The Expo also provides an opportunity for manufacturers and service providers in the sector to explore and meet potential customers. It also highlights the importance of infrastructure within aviation to discover first-hand the range of new technologies and solutions that the industry has to offer. Further, the Expo is designed to connect professionals across all areas of the industry with the African market, and it is directly in line with the government’s vision of making Ghana the aviation hub of West Africa.
