President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has ordered for the immediate arrest of the President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, 3news.com has gathered.
The GFA boss is alleged to have fraudulently used the President’s name and that of other state officials in brokering some dubious dealings.
Deputy Chief of Staff, Abu Jinapor confirmed to the media, the yet to be aired Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s investigative piece, Number 12, captures Kwesi Nyantakyi using the President’s name, the Vice President’s name and names of other state officials to induce potential investors to part way with some sums of money.
The President,according to the deputy Chief of Staff, is a satisfied and convinced that there is enough evidence on the face of the matter to have the GFA boss investigated for defrauding by false pretenses.
He has thus lodged a complaint, Tuesday, May 22, at the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the police and investigations have since begun.
The exposé, is believed to have captured some skeletons in the cupboards of the Ghana Football Association which is likely to cause “irredeemable damage” to those who will be indicted.
Ever since the Tiger IP team hinted that its latest exposé was going to be on Ghana football, there has been panic within the rank and file of the GFA.

Meanwhile, our sources at the office of the Ghana Football Association in Accra describe the atmosphere there as being “tensed”, especially with the presence of media men who are seeking to know the whereabouts of the GFA boss.
3news.com has however gathered that Kwesi Nyantakyi is currently not in town and officials in the office are tight-lipped on the matter and would not speak to the media.
