Asempa FM’s KABA is dead

KABA’s health had not been stable for some time

Kwadwo Asare-Baffuor Acheampong popularly known as KABA  has died. gathered that the popular political talk show host on Accra-based Asempa FM died Saturday morning.

KABA apparently reported to work just yesterday, Friday November 17 to host his late afternoon programme, ‘Ekosi Sen’ but was asked to go home after management realised he was not feeling well.

“KABA virtually went blank when he reported to work on Friday, and it was clear the gentleman was not feeling well,” a close associate of the deceased at Multimedia Group owners of Asempa FM told

His health deteriorated Saturday morning and was rushed to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital but could not survive.

Though the cause of his death is sketchy, KABA suffered a mild stroke some few years back, which took him months to recover.

About three weeks ago he had to stay home for almost a week after being attacked by another sickness.

Chief Executive Officer of The Multimedia Group, Kwasi Twum is said to have led management and staff of the Group to his residence to express their condolence to the wife and family.

KABA got married to Radio Gold presenter, Valentina Ofori Afriyie in June last year, and were blessed with a daughter.

  1. This is just so sad and unbelievable. Listened to him on Thursday but he was off sick on Friday, little did we know that Thursday was his last. I am so, so pained!!!
    I now understand why the host of News file after his show this morning said he could not break the news. I am glad at least he married and had a child before being called to Glory. May he rest in perfect peace. KABA you will surely be missed. Ekosii sen will never be the same. Auntie L.
