Ghana Black Stars midfielder, Afriyie Acquah, is set to replace injured Isaac Sackey who was named in Ghana’s 24-man squad ahead of their double-header against Congo.
Sackey, formerly of Liberty Professionals, suffered an injury last Friday while in action for his Turkish club Alanyaspor and remains a huge doubt for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah therefore called Torino midfielder Acquah into the squad as the team begins training session at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Monday August 28 for the crucial encounter.
The game is scheduled for Friday September 1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 3:30pm with a return encounter to be played on September 5 in Brazzaville.
