ADESA Productions Limited, APL,  is an Accra based creative services provider that specializes in producing video content for TV3, NGO’s and companies.
It is currently located at Ridge. The company utilizes the latest audio/video technology to produce cost-efficient promotional, instructional, and original video content.
Services offered by APL are targeted at several markets, including television stations, organisations , advertising agencies and individuals.
• APL produces all TV3 in-house content and corporate events as well as producing product-related instructional videos for manufacturers.
• APL provides a full-range of video-related services including pre-production consulting, production, post-production editing, and video placement.
• For corporate instructional videos, APL works under contract depending on the scope of the project.
• APL develops  video placement package to help place video on web outlets such as YouTube or directly on the clients’ websites.

Board of Directors

Mr. Ben Korley – Chairman

Ben Korley is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty years working experience and is currently the Managing Partner of Intellisys, a firm of Chartered Accountants. He was a partner of Deloitte &Touche for fourteen years.

He also serves on a number of Boards, prominent among them being UniBank Ghana Limited and Christian Community Microfinance Limited.
He is the Honorary Treasurer of the Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana and an assessor of the High Court of Justice, Commercial Division.

He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (Ghana).

Mrs. Norkor Duah

Mrs. Duah is the Chief Executive Officer of Lowe Lintas (Lowe Accra) an integrated communications company affiliated to Lowe Worldwide and Partners and has over twenty six years’ experience in Ghana’s Creative, Advertising, Marketing and Management Sector.

Mrs. Duah is currently Vice President of Development-Africa International Advertising Association and the Immediate Past President of Advertising Association of Ghana.

She has worked assiduously in various capacities on numerous councils, including the Council of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and is currently on Brand Ghana Council. Mrs. Duah sits on a number of Corporate Boards including Adesa Productions Limited and National Conservation Research Centre. Mrs. Duah is a graduate of Watford College in the UK.

Professor Linus Abraham

Prof. Linus Abraham is the Rector of the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI). He had been the substantive Rector of the Institute for over two years and currently serving as a member of the advisory board for the Ministry of Information.

He is a professor in visual communication, broadcast journalism, cultural studies and new media studies.
Professor Linus Abraham obtained his PhD in Communication Studies from one of the most prestigious institutions in America, the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.

He has taught Communication and the New Media at the University of Minnesota where he obtained both his Bachelors and Masters degrees since 2002. Prof. Abraham is a member of the International Communication Association, the International Visual Literary Association, the Association for Education in Journalism & Mas Communication, and the Popular Culture Association, among many others.

Mr. Berifi Apenteng

Mr. BerifiApenteng is a Media and Communications Consultant and the Chief Executive Officer of CorpCom Ghana, a Strategic Communications Company.
A journalist and lawyer by training, Mr. Apenteng has extensive background in Media and Communications management with over thirty years’ experience in Radio, Television, Newspaper and Film.

He was one time Director General, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, General Manager, TV3 Network Limited, Managing Director of Graphic Communications Group and Managing Director, TV Africa.He sits on a number of Boards and is currently the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Mr. Apenteng holds an Executive MBA from the University of Ghana Business School and is also a Barrister-at-Law.

Mawuli Hedo

Mawuli Hedo is an investment banker and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of The FirstGroup (Ghana) Ltd. FirstGroup is a Management Consultancy Firm and a Private Equity Company with investment concentration in Media, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Real Estate, ICT among others.

Prior to his current role, Mawuli served as the CEO and Executive Director of FirstBanC Financial Services. He also worked with SAS Finance Group where he was involved in a lot of corporate deals including the IPOs of GOIL, Golden Star Resources and Pioneer Kitchenware.

He was also the technical team leader in the design and marketing of the Government of Ghana Golden Jubilee Bonds.


Management Team

Sammy Adanu – General Manager

Sammy Adanu is an award winning producer with over 20 years’ experience in producing Documentaries, Drama, Reality, Magazine and Entertainment programmes. Prior to his appointment as General Manager of Adesa in 2014, he was the General Manager of Content Creation at TV3 Network Limited, a position he held for 10 years. Other positions held in the past include Creative Director at Presence Advertising from 1991 to 1994 and Creative Director at VIDEOMART from 1989 to 1990.

Further, between 1995 and 1998, he worked as a Freelance Producer Director in Germany and Britain and at the time produced a number of documentaries, feature films and TV Commercials.

Mr Adanu has won various international awards over the years, notable amongst them: the Golden Award for Best Scripted and Directed Documentary at the International Agricultural Film and TV Competition in Berlin, in 1988, and Best Documentary Film at the International Medical and Scientific Film Festival in Parma in 1990. He won both awards with his documentary Chorkor Smoker.

In the year 2000 his programme, Shepherd School Story, won Best TV Programme at the NDK TV Awards in Tokyo, Japan and in 2001 he won the Silver Award for his documentary, Coronation of a King – Otumfour Osei Tutu II, at an award show in Berlin, Germany. Mr Adanu is a graduate of the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI). He also has a post graduate degree from the Berlin Film School.

Marian Mantey – Assistant Manager

Marian Mantey has twelve years’ industry experience and has produced a wide range of programmes including documentaries,talk shows, magazine shows, musical shows, cookery shows and reality shows. Prior to her current role as Assistant Manager, she worked for TV3 Network Limited for about 10 years, where she rose through the ranks of a producer/director and coordinator.

Marianis an industry recognised producer whose works have been recognised by her peers and industry alike over the years. Her 30 minutes feature film titled “Bound” won two awards for Best Photography and Best Supporting Actor at a NAFTI Aniwa Film Festival, and her productions, “EDZIBAN” and “Asanka Delight” have recorded consistently high viewership, earning them the awards for CIMG TV show of the year 2014 and Outstanding Culinary Show at the Prime TV awards held in 2015.
Marian holds a BFA in Film Director from the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) as well as a BFA in Strategic Communication from the African University College.

Raymond Honu – Creative Director

Raymond Honu has extensive industry experience spanning over eight years and has worked on campaigns with key brands such as Vodacom and Nike, as well as renowned experts such as the double Grammy nominated film director, Jamie Catto. Prior to joining Adesa Productions, he worked as a Creative Director for Impact Christian Media, the media leg of Hatfield Christian Church, one of the largest Churches in South Africa. He also worked as a writer, editor and Digital Strategist at Pollen Creative Media, one of South Africa’s fastest growing advertising and animation studios.His portfolio includes work done for Nike’s “Run Jozi” campaign, Jamie Catto’s “One Giant Leap” project, Vodacoms 2011 Rugby World Cup Shosholoza Campaign, and the “I am fashion show 2011”.
Raymond holds a BA in Visual Communication from the Open Window School of Visual Communication, South Africa.

Nelson Awartey – Head of Finance and Administration

Nelson Awartey was appointed Head of Finance and Administration at Adesa Productions Limited (APL) in June 2015. Prior to joining APL, Nelson worked as the Head of Finance for TV3 for almost 6 years, where he is credited with successfully restructuring the finance department.

He worked as the Financial Controller of the Village of Hope (NGO) for five years before joining TV3 Network Limited, and is credited for the set-up of the organisation’s accounting system. He has over twelve years’ management level experience.
He holds a Ghana Accounting Technicians (GAT) Certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), a Bachelor of Science (Accounting) from Central University, and an MBA (Finance) from Central University.

He is currently awaiting his induction as a Chartered Accountant by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. (ICAG).
