ADB widens Saturday banking, extends banking hours

adbThe Agricultural Development Bank will from July 2 broaden its network of Saturday banking with the addition of 42 more branches across the 10 regions.

One more branch at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region will, however, offer customers Sunday banking instead of Saturday.

Also, beginning July 4, ADB will extend its weekday banking hours to nine hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Currently, only 13 branches of the bank in selected regions offer Saturday banking. The latest development brings to 56 the number of branches of the Bank to offer Saturday banking.

Officials say the move forms part of efforts by the Bank to provide expedient, accessible and comfortable banking services to its customers nationwide

Saturday banking hours begins from 9:00 am to 2:00pm, except for the first Saturdays of the every month (National Sanitation Day), which will be from 11:00am to 3:00 pm.

Managing Director, Mr. Daniel Asiedu said the expansion of the Bank’s Saturday banking is in response to “new business opportunities and the wish of management to satisfy the banks customers across the country.

“We want to ensure that both our existing and prospective customers enjoy the best banking services at all times hence our decision to increase the number from the present 13 to 56,” he said.

In Greater Accra customers can access Saturday banking from  ADB House, Makola , Tema Main , Tema Meridian, Achimota, Ridge, Spintex , Kokordze, Mankoadze  , Osu , Tema East (Ashaiman) , Teshie and  Accra New Town.

Northern Region: Aboabo, Yendi  and in Western Region: Agona Nkwanta , Takoradi, Sefwi Wiawso, while those in Brong-Ahafo Region can go to the branches in Sunyani , Berekum, Techiman, Dormaa Ahenkro.

In Upper West customers can transact banking business at Wa, and in the  Upper East, the branches at Bolgatanga , Bawku ,Navrongo.

Branches in Cape Coast , Assin Fosu , Mankessim, University of Cape Coast will also be opened on Saturdays, while that of Ho , Hohoe , Kpando , Denu, Nkwanta will be opened for business in the Volta Region.

In Eastern Region, branches in Nkawkaw and Suhum wil be working on Saturdays while Ashanti Region will see Kumasi Market , Bekwai , Obuasi , Prempeh II Street,  New Edubiase and Ejisu (Sunday) openining for business on Saturday
